While growing up in New South Wales, Australia, Belle loved decorating the farmhouse that had been inhabited by four generations of her family.  Today, this long-standing appreciation of decorating greatly influences the surface pattern designs she creates.  Bell grew up not only surrounded by kangaroos and emus, but also alongside her father, Don Pearce's brilliantly colored, landscape paintings.  Belle is pleased and honored to be exhibiting their collective works at the Whittier Art Gallery.
